Acton pleads for someone to help as he is dying and may have been poisoned by the wyvern. Beltin moves to supply healing. “His name is Ricard Demaris and is the owner of the green dragon inn. He is a very important person, please help him”. Suddenly, a Large gangly bird like creature appears in the road. Obregon shoots at it and his arrow bounces off. The creature screechs but it doesn’t seem to have any effect. Beltin moves and spits acid at it though it doesn’t appear to do full damage. Sanna cast a hail of stone at it. Obregon casts Hunter’s Mercy. The creature moves to the Atolomyr and rips his head off. Pike attempts to shoot at it but misses. Gonoan moves towards it while Beltin moves in front of the where the wyvern rider lies. Sanna hits it with a scorching ray but it has no effect. The creature flies towards the rider and takes a hit from Gonoan. It lands and shakes the head off of the rider in a spray of blood. Obregon tries to use his Hunter’s Mercy but misses. Gonoan runs after it. Beltin hits it but does no damage. Obregon attempts to hit it with an alchemist arrow but misses. It vanishes. Beltin heals Nat’s blindness and they begin going door to door looking for survivors who may need help. The priest does this as well. Pike begins looting the bodies. Wyvern-custom bridle and saddle. The residents tell us what happened. A large group of orcs, some flying, attacked and looted, especially the wagons. They took what they could and left this smaller group to finish. Acton says that Ricard needs help back to town unless we want to heal him more. Beltin heals him and he looks at us, wondering who we are. He says we are welcome to use his inn free of charge for saving him. Acton notes that Ricard is still poisoned. Acton recognizes the stupefied guy as Altamayic, a priest of his order. Beltin takes Acton, Ricard and Altamayic to Greyhawk and to the church of Boccob. The priests rush Altamayic inside and thank us heartily. Beltin then walks Ricard to the green dragon inn. Ricard is talking a lot and asking lots of questions. He mentions that it is shame about Rigby whose body they are bringing back in to town. He was a hero of Greyhawk. Ricard speaks about his missing sword of chaos and offers a reward for its return. The inn is in the river quarter and the locals are fairly shabby. Beltin then goes to the church of st Cuthbert and seeks audience with Eritae. She is not available because of the chaos surrounding Rigby’s return but he speaks with another priest and relays our adventures and needs. The priest takes notes and will pass it on to Eritae. He believes there is more here than typical dungeon delving. They will provide us a hearse and wagon and we move out to the bridge. The locals help us load up and we go directly to the church; Sanna and Pike go with the wagon to the mages guild. The mages move it inside and ask what we want in exchange. Sanna says that she will take whatever they offer. The rest of the caravan goods we take home for now. Beltin and Gonoan go with the hearse but the church does not have the proper spell ready to heal him and advise us to come back in the morning. Meanwhile, back at our house, Nat notices that someone has been messing with his traps and Gonoan tracks them and finds they tried to come in through the cellar. They did not get in though. The next morning we get Gonoan healed. Meanwhile Sanna checks in at the mages guild and relates our adventures. They would like us to go back as soon as possible. She learns that the Key of Zagyg we found could be very powerful and/or valuable to the right people. It is supposed that his keys can unlock different areas of the ruins and can even have other abilities. We rent a cart and take the trade goods to the merchants union. There is a sharply dressed human, Unthias, who is a lesser servant of the trading organization. He thanks us for recovering these items. He wants our story but we are reluctant to speak to him as he is unknown to us. We ask to speak with Yala Sory. We share our adventurers with him. After speaking with us, he rewards us with 500 pp. He supposes that we have done significant damage to the bandits since they were forced to raid the hovels in search of supplies. It seems that Iuz is likely behind all of this. After leaving there, we begin asking around about Amarinna Starwatch whose remains we have. The thieves guild knows of her and she was a rogue some time ago. She disappeared and took up with some sort of cultist. They ply Pike for information and he coughs it up. We allow them to have her remains and Pike enjoys a rise in status. We then begin selling off our loot. Shopping anyone?
